Scratch Game Design
Create single and multi-player maze games, platformers and even battling zombie games!
Whether you’re new to Scratch, or are an enthusiast already who wants to learn more, this course is a perfect introduction to game design & coding. We start with learning programming fundamentals in a fun way by modifying pre-existing games, and then move on to principles of game design like making use of sprites, cloning, background animations, sounds and images. Along the way you’ll make several interactive single-player and multi-player games. You’ll finish by using your newfound skills to design your own game in a style of your choice.

FAQs
My child has no prior experience - can they still attend?
Yes! We don't assume any prior knowledge for our courses. The only exception is if when we run followup courses that are labelled as 'Advanced' or 'Level 2' that normally require the prior course to have been taken. Do ask if you're unsure.
Should my child do anything to prepare for the course?
Do we really have to have the webcam on?
Will they be with similar-aged children?
What do they have to do after each session finishes?
The online course was great and the tutor engaged with the children and helped them calmly and effectively - we were not needed at all. My son really enjoyed the course and did all of the extra challenges too.
