Join students from around the world for the premier engineering camp.
Explore our full range of courses at our flagship Winchester venue, Sparsholt College. Campers can stay with us for the week, or come as day campers (9:30am–5:30pm) on the same courses. Courses run over two weeks at Easter and throughout August, and combine our tech courses with all sorts of other exciting activities.
Many of our campers come from the UK, but campers have come from over 20 countries, all united by a love of technology.
Residential campers normally arrive on Sunday afternoon, registering between 4:30pm and 5:30pm, and leave on Friday between 3pm and 4pm. Join us for a single week-long course, or come for several weeks, with the option of trips out on the 'bridge weekends'.
Accommodation is in single rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and residential campers have many extra activity sessions, including engineering challenges and a daily choice of tech activities. Parents receive daily emailed updates and can see the extensive photo library.
On a normal day campers wake at 8:20am and have breakfast, before being joined by the day campers at 9:00am, ready to start sessions at 9:30am.
There are typically four sessions, with two breaks and an hour-long lunch break, and the daytime courses finish at 5:30pm. Residential campers then have dinner and take part in a wide range of evening activities, before some relaxation time before bed.
On Sunday, after registration, campers settle into their rooms, meet the staff and each other, then have supper and their first evening activities. On Friday, sessions end at about 3:15pm and parents are invited to come and see what their child has made; most families leave by about 4pm. The Parents' Guide has the full timetable.
Activities include both technical and non-technical options, such as laser tag, 'electronic art', 'chocolate moulding' and much more.
Staying for more than one week?
For campers staying two weeks there is a separate "Bridging Weekend" option, which covers food, accommodation and activities from Friday night until Sunday afternoon, when the new campers join.
Activities over the weekend include gaming sessions, laser tag, a movie night and an off-campus trip, which changes each camp. Previous trips have included fossil-hunting on the Jurassic Coast, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, science museums, theme parks and outdoor activity centres.
